Chief Financial Officer
Jolene L. Compton serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the Michigan Alliance for Student Opportunity, the Michigan Schools Energy Cooperative, the Middle Cities Risk Management Services and the Middle Cities Workers’ Compensation Group. She previously held the position of Associate Superintendent of Finance and Grants at Bay City Public Schools for eight years, following her roles as Director of Finance for Bay-Arenac ISD, and in multiple director positions at Clare-Gladwin RESD.
Before transitioning into public education, Jolene worked as a Certified Public Accountant with Weinlander Fitzhugh, gaining experience across all four of the firm’s offices in Gladwin, West Branch, Bay City, and Clare. Jolene maintains her CPA license. She holds a Bachelor of General Studies and a Master of Accounting from the University of Michigan.
Jolene lives in Beaverton with her husband and son. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling—both around Michigan and to destinations far beyond.
