Statement on Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference
LANSING, Mich. – Peter Spadafore, executive director of the Michigan Alliance for Student Opportunity (The Alliance), issued the following statement today following the consensus revenue estimating conference:
“Today’s consensus revenue numbers emphasize that the days of funding general fund programs with education dollars must come to an end. It’s imperative that lawmakers prioritize K-12 classroom spending with school money and fully fund the school community’s proposal for pension liabilities.”
