Ryan McLeod is the director and chief operating officer for Middle Cities Risk Management Services. Ryan draws on over 30 years of experience in education and public service as he leads the operations of the Middle Cities Risk Management Trust and the Middle Cities Workers’ Compensation Group (member services of The Alliance). Middle Cities Risk Management Services provides property/casualty coverage and group workers’ compensation coverage along with loss control, safety training, and risk management advice for members.

Ryan’s interest in public entity risk management began during his over decade long service as a firefighter and emergency services instructor. This continued to develop as he served for over 25 years in a variety of diverse school districts as a teacher, building leader, and in central administration. During his tenure as a school superintendent, Ryan served as a board member for the MCRMS Trust and Group.

Ryan also works as an executive coach and organizational consultant in educational, business, and personal settings. Ryan earned his doctorate in educational administration and supervision from University of Toledo, a master’s degree in educational leadership from Eastern Michigan University, and a bachelor’s from University of Michigan – Dearborn.

Ryan lives with his wife, Stefanie, in Monroe, Michigan. They are the proud parents of three adult daughters, four dogs, and a cat. Ryan is a private pilot, backpacker, traveler, DIY home- improver, and loves to spend time with family and friends.
